Choose one practical application and commit to practicing it this week.
The pastor mentioned that someone asked him, "When is the last time you actually asked God to love you?" Set aside five minutes this week to sit quietly and ask God to make His love for you feel real, not just theological. Do not rush past the silence.
Identify one area of your life where fear is driving your behavior -- fear of judgment, fear of failure, fear of being known. Bring that specific fear to God and ask Him to let His perfect love meet you there.
Think of one person in your life -- inside or outside this group -- whose good you have been neglecting because it would cost you something. Identify one concrete action this week that chooses their good over your comfort.
If there is a relationship in your community or church that you have been pulling back from, consider what one small step toward re-engagement might look like. Not a grand gesture -- just one step toward pressing in rather than pulling away.
Let the order of that verse sink in throughout the week. We do not love first. We love in response.
