Weekly Update

Every Wednesday, we share what is ahead as we continue moving together at the pace of relationship.

June 24, 2026
Redeemer Family,
We are moving at the pace of relationship. God is honoring our intentional, worshipful efforts as he works through us to form a growing church. I am genuinely excited about the days ahead.
01 TOMORROW NIGHT! Worship Night June 25 · Silver Fox Coffee Lounge

June 25th - Worship Night at Silver Fox Coffee Lounge on Music Row

Doors open at 5:30 PM for free coffee, pastries, and time to connect with new friends. Worship will begin around 6:15 PM.

For all of our families, childcare will be provided at the Slater's house just two blocks away.

If you're already a part of helping us plant Redeemer, I encourage you to be at Silver Fox by 5 PM to help welcome neighbors and new friends who are coming to connect and worship with us.

Every space we create together is a "table" - we want to be a people that walk into spaces saying, "There you are, not here I am."

02 Gathering & Family Table June 28 · Breakfast for Lunch

June 28th - Gathering & Family Table

Following our Sunday Gathering at the Slaters', we will gather together to eat, pray, and receive updates on the status of Redeemer as we continue moving forward as a church plant.

The theme for the table will be Breakfast for lunch. It's potluck style.

We will need:

  • 2 entrees
  • 3 sides
  • 2 desserts

We anticipate around 25 adults and kids at the table. Reply to this email or respond in the GroupMe with what you'll be bringing!

03 Download the Redeemer Fellowship App App Store · Google Play

Go into the App Store or Google Play, search Redeemer Fellowship Nashville, then download the app.

Why it matters?

We are doing ministry together. We are learning rhythms, language and ways of being with Jesus together through this local church expression. The app is set up to help us live into those rhythms, think through the language and practice the way of Jesus in the context of Redeemer!

04 What Do We Value? Intentional Presence

Intentional Presence
Living at the Pace of Being Known

Definition

As a community, we live with purpose and curiosity, making space to truly know and be known by others. We walk alongside people at a pace that honors where God has them in his story of redemption, always looking for what God is growing in their lives.

1 Thessalonians 2:8; Proverbs 18:24; John 15:15

"The more genuine and the deeper our community becomes, the more will everything else between us recede, and the more clearly and purely will Jesus Christ and his work become the one and only thing that is vital between us." Dietrich Bonhoeffer
05 Reflection Living at the pace of being known

There are two things constantly working against us in our modern age: the pace of life and social comparison.

These forces quietly shape us into people who are anxious and hidden.

We become anxious because we feel behind, overwhelmed, or burdened by the demands of our schedules. We become hidden because we are constantly tempted to curate an image of ourselves that can compete with the images presented by others-whether online or in everyday life.

But Jesus offers another way.

He invites us into intentional presence-a life lived at the pace of being known.

"Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace." Matthew 11:29, MSG

We want to be people who move slowly enough to know one another. People who are curious instead of hurried.

Intentional presence means we stop measuring people by where we think they should be and begin paying attention to where God is already at work in their lives.

It means we choose relationship, presence, being known over being impressive.

At Redeemer, we believe some of the most significant work of the Kingdom happens when we slow down long enough to notice one another and make space for Jesus to meet us there.

06 Watch: Godspeed A film about the speed of the Kingdom

To see what I mean, I encourage you to make time this week to watch this 30 minute film: Godspeed.

It's a beautiful reminder that the speed of the Kingdom is often much slower, lingering, and highly relational-AND we want this to be the way of Redeemer!

07 Reflection Questions Slow down and be known

What in your life is making it difficult to be known?

Where might Jesus be inviting you to slow down so you can be more present to God and to the people around you?
