Redeemer Family

Weekly Update

A look ahead for our church family as we practice the way of Jesus together around Scripture, prayer, tables, and neighborhood renewal.

July 8, 2026
Look Ahead: Sunday's content is now available on the Redeemer app. Take 5-10 minutes this week to pause, encounter Jesus, and engage the daily rhythms of Read, Reflect, Pray, and Practice.

Read. Reflect. Pray. Practice.

At Redeemer, we care deeply about the pace and rhythms of our lives-especially our life together as a growing church plant.

One of the features we've built into the app is a simple daily rhythm based on Sunday's Scripture:

Read. Reflect. Pray. Practice.

To make it easy, think about your day in four movements: morning, midday, evening, and night. Choose one of those moments and take just 5-10 minutes to pause and engage one of these rhythms.

Our hope isn't to add another task to your schedule, but to create space for you to encounter Jesus throughout your week.

God is Love

We will gather together this Sunday, July 12th at the Slater's home at 10 AM.

I'm excited to be together! This gathering we will be in 1 John 4:7-12, where our very own Matthew Steinfeld will be diving into the reality of "God is love."

What does that mean? How do we misunderstand it? Does it actually change us?

Location: The Slater's Home

Navigating Our Growth Intentionally

Our church plant is growing-slowly, intentionally, and at the pace of relationship. One of the greatest joys of this past year has been watching God gather so many different people around the table who share a desire to see Jesus at every table.

For the last year, we've gathered in homes. Those spaces have been instrumental in cultivating the culture of hospitality, lingering, and spiritual formation that we pray continues to define Redeemer. As God continues to bring more people to the table, we also want to make more room at the table.

Over the next few weeks, we'll begin transitioning to a space that better accommodates our growing community while allowing us to maintain the relational feel we've come to love.

Current Updates & Discernment:

* We're currently in conversations with Ethos Church about using their office space for Sunday morning gatherings.

* We've also received approval to gather at Acklen Avenue Church of Christ on Saturday or Sunday evenings should that become the best next step for our church family.

Please join us in praying for wisdom as we discern where God is leading us. Let's remain prayerful, flexible, open, and expectant. The Lord has faithfully led us every step of the way, and we trust he'll continue to provide and sustain us as we keep Jesus at the center and the table as our vehicle of formation and witness.

Collective Impact

As a community, we share a commitment to live on mission together. The Kingdom of God doesn't come through one church alone, but through a collective of believers and churches using their unique gifts to see God's will done on earth as it is in heaven-right in our neighborhoods.

Together, we join in God's redemptive work with unity, presence, and purpose.

Quote

"The church is not a collection of individuals pursuing private spirituality, but the people of God gathered under the reign of Christ."

- Edmund Clowney

Better Together Than Apart

God exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. From the beginning, God's life has been one of perfect love, unity, and shared mission. If God chooses to redeem the world in community, why would we ever attempt to advance his Kingdom alone?

Our primary identity is not as members of competing tribes, denominations, or churches. Our primary identity is as citizens of Christ's Kingdom. That means we celebrate whenever the gospel is preached, disciples are made, neighborhoods are renewed, and churches flourish-even when it isn't happening through Redeemer.

Our vision is: Jesus at every table. Renewal in every neighborhood.

That vision is far too big for one church to accomplish by itself. It will require churches praying together. Pastors encouraging one another. Believers serving alongside one another. Different gifts working together for one Kingdom.

At Redeemer, we want to resist the temptation to build our own little kingdom. Instead, we want to joyfully participate in Christ's Kingdom alongside every church and follower of Jesus who shares the good news and seeks the renewal of our city. Because we really are better together than we are apart.

Reflect & Engage

1. What in your life or ministry right now could be done with someone else instead of by yourself?

2. What if "Jesus at every table" wasn't just Redeemer's vision, but the shared vision of every gospel-centered church in Nashville? How might that change our neighborhoods?

Sitting at the table with you,

Pastor Ryne
